Galili Shahar is professor of Comparative Literature and German Studies at the Tel Aviv University. He researches and teaches German, Jewish and Hebrew literatures and classical Persian literature. He is director of the Minerva Institute for German History and head of the School of Cultural Studies at the Tel Aviv University.
