Eduardo Mendieta is professor of philosophy, affiliated faculty at the School of International Affairs, and the Bioethics Program at Penn State University. He is the author of The Adventures of Transcendental Philosophy (2002) and Global Fragments: Globalizations, Latinamericanisms, and Critical Theory (2007). We discuss two of his articles, "The Axial Age, social evolution, and postsecular consciousness" (available through his page on Academia.edu) and his book review for Habermas' two-volume work translated as Also a History of Philosophy.
