Hjalmar Falk is a researcher in the Department of Literature, History of Ideas, and Religion at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. He is an intellectual historian specializing in modern social, legal, and political thought, historical conceptions of the relationship between politics and religion, and the intellectual history of secularity, with a particular focus on Carl Schmitt. We discuss his chapter titled, "Violence, Divine or Otherwise.
